Special Track Day on April 17

Special Track Day on April 17 (KENT, Wash) — Pacific Raceways will be offering a track day to road race teams, Chump Car teams and seasoned sport drivers on Friday, April 17.  The track day is scheduled one day before the Chump Car World Series endurance race at Pacific Raceways April 18/19. Three groups – closed wheel competition, open wheel competition and seasoned sport drivers – will rotate on track in timed sessions.  The cost for the test/tune lapping day is $225 per car and driver.  In addition, a free lunch will be served.  Drivers are asked to register in advance at ProFormance Racing School.  Gates open at 7:30 a.m. with a mandatory driver’s meeting at 8:30.

Honda Fest NW on Sunday!

Honda Fest NW on Sunday! (KENT, Wash) – The largest Honda event in the Northwest takes place on Sunday, April 12 as thousands of Honda and Acura cars and other imports invade Pacific Raceways for Honda Fest NW. The cruise-in and social event will bring tricked out cars from through-out the state, British Columbia, Oregon and all parts west.  It’s a car event unlike any other that fills Pacific Raceways’ sprawling complex with old-skool customized rides and the latest in Honda technology. Gates open at 9 a.m. with $10 admission and $10 VIP parking to put your ride inside the track.  There will be free parking available in parking Lot “C” and parking Lot “A”.  There will be no day-of car show registration.  The 2.25-mile road course will be open beginning at 9 a.m. for drivers who want to lap the track.  ProFormance Racing School will be managing the lead-follow around the course.  Participants can sign up for the lead-follow at Racer Registration near the drag strip.  A test and tune on the drag strip will take place after 12 p.m.  Please buy your tech card for drag racing at the front gate as you enter the facility.  Drag racers... Minor Waiver Forms Requires Signature from Both Parents

 A new racing season means that parents of minor participants need to sign a new waiver for 2016.  These forms require the signature of both parents.  Forms are available to download at this link. Download 2016 Parental Consent & Minor’s Assumption of Risk   If the forms are signed off-site and not witnessed at the raceway, they need to be notarized.  The minor waiver applies to all participants for drag racing road course and motocross.

Sunday Drag TnT is a GO

Sunday Drag TnT is a GO(KENT, Wash) — Mother nature cooperated overnight meaning today’s drag test and tune (Sunday, March 22) will happen. Rain Saturday morning and a not-so-good forecast for Sunday put today’s event in doubt, but Drag Strip Manager Ed Garfield said weather conditions improved yesterday afternoon and overnight and that the drag strip was dry at 6 a.m. today. Gates open this morning at 7 a.m.  Test and Tune tech cards are $40; cred and spectators pay $10.  There will also be an NHRA chassis certification and Pacific Raceways extended tech inspection taking place on the west end of the pit area by restroom 1.

March 14 Drag TnT Cancelled

Today’s (Saturday, March 14) drag test and tune has been cancelled due to rain. The next drag test and tune is scheduled for Sunday, March 22.

High Performance Sport Driving with Proformance Racing School Instructors Drive Pacific Raceways’ historic 2.25-mile road course in your own car! This course is designed to improve your street survival driving skills and advanced car control techniques while exposing you to the thrill and excitement of high performance driving. Drivers are grouped according to vehicle type and skill level and include: Novice, Season Sport Driver, Race Car Open Wheel, and Race Car Closed Wheel (a Kart group will be made with a min. of 10 karts present). Requirements: Brakes should be in excellent condition Tires good condition, adequate tread depth, and no “plug repair” to punctures Seat belts must be present and functional for both driver and passenger seats Soft top cars must have roll-bar or pop-up roll-over hoop All participants must wear approved (Snell 2005 rated) helmets during road course driving experiences. If you don’t have your own we have helmets available free of charge (Novice students will be required to wear school helmets). Lightweight and close-fitting clothing is recommended, along with thin soft-soled shoes for maximum pedal “feel.” Some walking over loose terrain will be required. (KENT, Wash) — Pacific Raceways will open up its historic road course to driving enthusiasts this Saturday (Feb. 21). The event – High Performance Sport Driving Day – is one of a series of open track days that feature high-speed lapping on the 2.25-mile course. The event – High Performance Sport Driving Day – is one of a series of open track days that feature high-speed lapping on the 2.25-mile course. Drivers are grouped according to ability into novice, seasoned sport driver and advanced classifications and are rotated on-track. Novice sport drivers receive classroom and in-car instruction from ProFormance Racing School instructors. The cost for car and driver is $225. Spectators are free. Drivers receive a free lunch during the day. Raceway gates open at 7:30 a.m. Registration takes place at ProFormance Racing School, which is located on the east end of the paddock.
