Minor Waiver Forms Requires Signature from Both Parents

 A new racing season means that parents of minor participants need to sign a new waiver for 2016.  These forms require the signature of both parents.  Forms are available to download at this link. Download 2016 Parental Consent & Minor’s Assumption of Risk   If the forms are signed off-site and not witnessed at the raceway, they need to be notarized.  The minor waiver applies to all participants for drag racing road course and motocross.

Sunday Drag TnT is a GO

Sunday Drag TnT is a GO(KENT, Wash) — Mother nature cooperated overnight meaning today’s drag test and tune (Sunday, March 22) will happen. Rain Saturday morning and a not-so-good forecast for Sunday put today’s event in doubt, but Drag Strip Manager Ed Garfield said weather conditions improved yesterday afternoon and overnight and that the drag strip was dry at 6 a.m. today. Gates open this morning at 7 a.m.  Test and Tune tech cards are $40; cred and spectators pay $10.  There will also be an NHRA chassis certification and Pacific Raceways extended tech inspection taking place on the west end of the pit area by restroom 1.

Today’s (Saturday, March 14) drag test and tune has been cancelled due to rain. The next drag test and tune is scheduled for Sunday, March 22.

High Performance Sport Driving with Proformance Racing School Instructors Drive Pacific Raceways’ historic 2.25-mile road course in your own car! This course is designed to improve your street survival driving skills and advanced car control techniques while exposing you to the thrill and excitement of high performance driving. Drivers are grouped according to vehicle type and skill level and include: Novice, Season Sport Driver, Race Car Open Wheel, and Race Car Closed Wheel (a Kart group will be made with a min. of 10 karts present). Requirements: Brakes should be in excellent condition Tires good condition, adequate tread depth, and no “plug repair” to punctures Seat belts must be present and functional for both driver and passenger seats Soft top cars must have roll-bar or pop-up roll-over hoop All participants must wear approved (Snell 2005 rated) helmets during road course driving experiences. If you don’t have your own we have helmets available free of charge (Novice students will be required to wear school helmets). Lightweight and close-fitting clothing is recommended, along with thin soft-soled shoes for maximum pedal “feel.” Some walking over loose terrain will be required. (KENT, Wash) — Pacific Raceways will open up its historic road course to driving enthusiasts this Saturday (Feb. 21). The event – High Performance Sport Driving Day – is one of a series of open track days that feature high-speed lapping on the 2.25-mile course. Drivers are grouped according to ability into novice, seasoned sport driver and advanced classifications and are rotated on-track. Novice sport drivers receive classroom and in-car instruction from ProFormance Racing School instructors. The cost for car and driver is $225. Spectators are free. HP Sport Driving MOVED from Saturday to Sunday (Feb. 8)

(KENT, Wash) — The High Performance Sport Driving Day originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7 has been moved to Sunday, Feb. 8.  With heavy rains expected Friday and Saturday, it made sense to move the event to Sunday where the forecast is calling for only a 20% chance of showers amid sunshine, said Don Kitch, of ProFormance Racing School. The same schedule will be in effect for Sunday, as was originally planned for Saturday.  Gates will open at 7:30 a.m. with a mandatory driver’s meeting at 8:30 a.m.  Registration and the driver’s meeting will occur in the ProFormance Racing School building on the east end of the paddock. Go FAST in the New Year

(KENT, Wash) – It’s your chance to go fast in 2015 with the first High Performance Sport Driving Day of 2015 on Saturday, January 10.  Gates open at 7:30 a.m. with a mandatory driver’s meeting scheduled for 8:30 in the ProFormance Racing School building at the east end of the paddock. High Performance Sport Driving days are high speed lapping events on Pacific Raceways’ 2.25-mile road course.  Drivers are grouped according to ability: novice, intermediate sport driving, and full race or advanced.  Novice drivers receive instruction from ProFormance Racing School.  Driver sessions rotate on and off track from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Street cars are welcomed.  Make sure that your car is in excellent working order with good tires and brakes.  A free lunch is provided. Reservations are not needed, though encouraged by calling the raceway office at (253) 639-5927.
