(KENT, Wash) – Cutting tool specialist Swift Tool has renewed its title sponsorship for Pacific Raceways’ premier ET drag racing program for the seventh consecutive year, and in doing so, allows the Kent track to once again offer the largest guaranteed ET series payout in NHRA Division 6.
“We are thrilled to announce another year of the Swift Tool NHRA Summit Racing Series,” said John Ramsey, raceway general manager. “Seven years with the same local company sponsoring our top flight drag program is a huge win for our drag racers, spectators and everyone involved with the racing industry.”
“Our partnership with Swift Tool allows Pacific Raceways to continue its tradition of offering the largest guaranteed bracket racing payout in the division,” said Ed Garfield, raceway drag strip manager. “Over the course of the season we will be offering over $42,500 in prize money, not counting season-ending bonus checks. That’s huge!”
The Swift Tool NHRA Summit Racing Series has a 13-race schedule for 2019 that begins in April and runs through August. The schedule includes five Bud Under the Lights night races and a pair of doubleheader Saturday and Sunday separate races.
The Swift Tool series has four classifications of racers: Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman and Motorcycle, with the top racers during the season competing for Team Pacific Raceways at the Division 6 Summit ET Finals over Labor Day weekend. This year, the finals will be at Pacific Raceways making the hometown Pirates the favored team of the 17 tracks in the division.
“We’ve discovered over the years that sponsoring the ET Series gives Swift Tool a great platform to develop and maintain business to business relationships,” said Brian Lawrence of Swift Tool. “The hospitality options at Pacific Raceways allows us to entertain clients, employees and guests at an exciting setting.”
