(KENT, Wash) – Pacific Raceways’ new development project of 205,000 square feet of garage space will lead to $2 million of improvements to the iconic multi-purpose race track. The building project, which has been submitted to King County, is in the review phase with an anticipated construction date of this summer. “We have some significant improvements planned once we get half of the garage space leased,” said Jason Fiorito, Pacific Raceways president. Improvements include repaving the road course and drag strip, rebuilding the permanent restrooms and a host of other facility-wide upgrades including electrical hookups in the paddock/pits. “Everyone from racers to fans will benefit from the improvements,” he added. The building project will provide racers, car enthusiasts, innovation companies and businesses an opportunity for garages and shops that are adjacent to the raceway. (KENT, Wash) – Pacific Raceways’ submittal to build 200,000 square feet of garage and commercial shop space has been accepted by King County. The raceway received a Notice of Complete Application yesterday from the county clearing the way for the review process to begin. The notice by the county starts the time period for permit processing specified in King County Code. Earlier this month, the raceway and its consultants provided the county with necessary studies on impacts of the project as well as drawings of the buildings that will house personal garages and commercial shop space, including space for Pacific Innovation Center, said Jason Fiorito, Pacific Raceways president. “King County now begins the review and analysis of our completed package,” said Fiorito. “If everything happens according to schedule, we should begin construction in the summer.” The initial phase of the project will take place on the south end of Lot “C” – a 40-acre grass field on the north side of the race track. “We have been committed to working with our neighbors on this project and will continue to accommodate their concerns,” said Fiorito. “It’s important that we do this the right way.” The raceway has commitments for about...
