Run Order for Time Trials

Friday: Sportsman, Pro, Super Pro EV, Bike/Sled, Jr. Street, Jr. Thunder, Jr. Lightning

Saturday: Sportsman, High School, Pro, Super Pro, EV, Bike/Sled, Jr. Street, Jr. Thunder, Jr. Lightning

Gambler Race

On Friday, there will be a gambler race.  8 classes: Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, Bike/Sled, EV, Jr. Street, Jr. Thunder, and Jr. Lightning.  Entry Fee: Super Pro and Pro $100; All other classes $60.  The Gambler race will be the first thing on track Friday morning.  If you are eliminated in the 1st round of the gambler, you may get a 2nd run with the non-gamblers.  Once a competitor has had two runs down the track, their day is complete.  The exception are the gambler competitors still in eliminations after the 2nd round.

NHRA Membership Required

All competitors must be NHRA Members in order to participate.  All competitors must also have a valid and current NHRA competition number.  All competitors must have a current NHRA License, if applicable.

Additional ET Finals Rules and Regulations

  • All classes will be run on a five-tenth full tree with the exception of Bike/Sled.
  • Deep staging will be allowed, but it may not be written on the vehicle. The starter will not wait for the competitor to deep stage.  It is the responsibility of the competitor to get in.
  • Bike/Sled will run a split tree. Racers wanting a Pro tree must put a P at the end of the dial in (i.e. 9.00P).
  • Crosstalk will be used in Super Pro only. Racers not wanting Crosstalk need to put an “N” at the end of their dial.
  • No passengers at any time with the exception of Jr. Street.
  • Dial in’s and numbers must be clear and visible on the front, left side, and rear window. Pacific is a left side tower.
  • Shoe polish numbers are only allowed in Sportsman, High School, and Jr. Street. Division Director can make exceptions.
  • Dial in’s cannot be changed past designated signage at the front of staging unless approved by Division Director.
  • Once a driver pre-stages, they have accepted the conditions of the race. Re-runs will not be granted.
  • Excessive braking is grounds for disqualification. Division Director decision is final and may not be appealed.
  • Any racer or crew member found to be under the influence of alcohol or other substances during racing hours or conducting themselves in an unsportsmanlike manner will be immediately excused from the event.
  • Team designator must be displayed on the driver side lower portion of the windshield, top of the cowl on dragsters, and on the front light for motorcycles.
  • Racers can only compete for one team at the Summit Racing Equipment ET Finals.
  • No artificial noisemakers allowed
  • A driver may compete in a maximum of 2 classes. Junior competitors are permitted to race in 2 ET classes in addition to their Junior class if they earned the position on the team.

Pit Vehicles

Team Captains are responsible for policing their team’s pit vehicles for improper use.  ALL drivers must be 16 years of age and possess a valid drivers license.

Pit Area

Each team will be designated a specific pit area.  We ask that all participants curtail any noisy activities after 10pm on any night.  Please be respectful of the facility and leave your area clean.  Use trash cans to dispose of any trash prior to leaving the venue.

Special Awards

We will award Best Appearing vehicle in Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, Bike/Sled, and Jr. Dragster.  One Best Engineered will be awarded.  These special awards will be selected by the NHRA Certification Team.

Best Performing Track (New for 2024)

Best Performing Track will be awarded to the track with the highest average win per team member during Sunday/Monday’s team race.  The team average will be calculated by dividing the team point total by the number of members on the team.  For example, a team earns 34 points and has 22 team members, their total is 1.54 (34/22).  A team earns 60 points and has 50 team members, their total is 1.20 (60/50).

High School Eliminator

Open to any student that has attended High School in the 2023/2024 calendar year.  NHRA Membership/Number required (Grade 7).  High School racers will also be allowed to run Sportsman during the team race on Sunday/Monday.  11.60 and slower.  All NHRA Sportsman ET Rules apply.  If Saturday’s ROC race is rained out, High School will be completed during the team race.

Jr. Street

Jr. Street is reserved for Jr. Street registered racers 13-16 per Jr. Street rules.  Any competitor running quicker than 8.50 at any time will be disqualified from the event.   The quickest you can dial in is 9.00.

Jr. Dragster

Each track may send up to 8 drivers.  Racers will be split into Lightning and Thunder based on age.  A driver that started the season as a 12-year- old but is 13 at the time of the ET Finals may run in Jr. Thunder but cannot dial quicker than 8.90.

Summit EV

Track can bring up to 4 racers.  Must have competed in a minimum of two Summit events at the track they will be representing.  Should the Race of Champions winner not be able to attend the Summit ET Finals, the team race winner will be eligible to attend.

Team Championship/Track Manager’s Challenge

The Track Manager’s Challenge will be awarded during the Race of Champions event.  One point will be awarded for each round victory.  The Team Championship will be awarded to the team with the most points during the team race event on Sunday and Monday.  One point will be awarded for each round victory.

Race of Champions

Each track may send up to 6 representatives in Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, and Sled/Bike.  In addition, a Wild Card (7th racer in each class) is permissible and may be randomly drawn from the pool of racers who have perfect attendance at each participating track.  The winners of this race will be eligible to attend the NHRA Nevada Nationals October 31 – November 3 2024 and compete for the Summit ET Racing Series National Championship.

Summit Series Decals

Each Competitor is required to run the respective (Summit or JDRL) series decal for the duration of the event.

Contingency

Saturday ROC Winners and Runner up finishers in Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, and Bike/Sled are eligible to receive contingency money from participating contingency sponsors.  Racers are responsible for adhering to all contingency rules and regulations displaying necessary stickers/running specific products as determined by sponsors.
