(KENT, Wash) – One of the longest running bracket racing sponsorships in the northwest has come to an end with the recent announcement that Swift Tool will not be back as title sponsor of Pacific Raceways’ ET drag racing series. The Kent-based customized manufacturing solutions company had sponsored the popular weekly drag racing program since 2013.
“We have been very fortunate to have an eight-year title sponsorship with such an outstanding local company,” said Jason Fiorito, raceway president. “Brian Lawrence and Steve and Luke Swift have been outstanding partners and we wish Swift Tool nothing but the best. They will always be part of our Pacific Raceways family,” he said.
Not only has Swift Tool been the series title sponsor, their logo and name have been on the side of several race cars over the years including Brian Lawrence, who has represented the company both on and off the track.
“I’ve enjoyed working with Brian. He has come up with some creative ideas to use the raceway to promote the Swift Tool and Swift Carb brands and as a hospitality incentive for the company’s employees and clients,” said John Ramsey, raceway general manager. “Swift Tool always supported us when we took program out into the community, like at The Sports Page Tavern in Auburn.”
“I personally have enjoyed the last decade at the track racing, supporting and relaxing with friends and family,” said Brian Lawrence. “You can’t buy the memories I get to keep, all because of you guys. THANK YOU!”
“It’s been a great partnership and the continuity of eight years has been incredible,” said Ed Garfield, drag strip manager. “Swift Tool has been a real benefit to our racers…that’s for sure.”
Pacific Raceways will be announcing a new title sponsor for the series soon.
