Pacific Grand Prix Headlines Memorial Weekend

Racers from throughout the western states and Canada will compete this weekend – May 26-29 – at the SCCA Pacific Grand Prix on the 2.25-mile historic road course. The sports car race, which is part of the U.S. Majors Tour, is sponsored by Knight Transportation, Poulsbo RV, Raceway United and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Included in the weekend race is the first two of five Pacific Northwest Ground Pounder Challenge races presented by Ben Bridge featuring full-bodied, V-8 powered stock cars. The stock cars run both Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 4:15. The series races at both Pacific Raceways and Portland International Raceway.

The U.S. Majors features a full field of open wheel racecars, purpose-built production racecars and a variety of other classifications including a large number of Miata racecars.

Friday’s test and tune is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday mornings are qualifying sessions with racing in the afternoons until 5. Monday is a special Pacific Grand Prix lapping day.  Spectator tickets are available at the gate.
